Drive for Zero
Speed Section Control
Reduce speeding behaviour and decrease the number of accidents with Speed Section Control, an innovative solution that measures a vehicle's average speed over a defined road section. By encouraging safer driving habits, this system enhances road safety and significantly reduces the number of speed offenders.

The Speed Section Control system is built with advanced hardware and seamless compatibility to ensure optimal performance. The QCAM5 ANPR camera is designed to capture vehicle details across multiple lanes, providing high accuracy and efficiency. Each camera covers up multiple lanes, offering comprehensive road surveillance. It integrates with the Macq Mobility Manager (M³) for real-time monitoring and speed control across different road sections. The system also requires a minimum section distance of 200 meter, allowing for precise average speed calculation.

The operating principle
Speed section control is an advanced traffic management system designed to promote safer roads and smoother traffic flow. By monitoring vehicle entry and exit times across a defined road segment, it calculates average speeds with precision. Drivers who adhere to speed limits enjoy a safer, penalty-free journey, while those exceeding limits face enforcement measures. This innovative technology not only enhances safety but also encourages responsible driving habits, making every trip more secure for everyone.
Why Speed Section Control?

This technology brings significant benefits, improving road safety by encouraging drivers to maintain a consistent and safe speed over a longer distance, which helps reduce accidents. The average speed control method offers a fairer approach to enforcement, as it evaluates a driver's behavior over an extended stretch rather than at a single point. Additionally, this system enhances speed management by reducing speeding incidents and creating safer driving conditions for all road users.
